You can still get your yoga fix Sunday evening with Emily Aston.

Join local yoga and wellness instructor Emily for a welcoming outdoor session focused on mindful movement, breath, and connection to the natural surroundings. This all-levels gathering offers a chance to slow down, build awareness, and leave feeling more grounded and restored.

Heads up Idler's Rest Nature Preserve friends:

Something important is happening at Idler’s Rest - and it’s all part of caring for this special place!

Starting Monday, June 29m we’ll be temporarily closing the preserve while our partners at Idaho Department of Lands safely remove trees affected by disease along Highland Loop Trail. During this time, the parking lot gates will be closed.

A root rot outbreak (Armillaria ostoyae) has caused significant Douglas-fir mortality, creating real safety risks for visitors and impacting wildlife habitat in the area.

Rather than hauling logs away, we’re leaving them right where they fall, as nurse logs that will support future tree planting, moisture retention, and habitat. This is forest restoration in action. We’ll share reopening news as soon as it’s safe. Thank you for your patience!
