Pulling weeds, thinning plants, putting down some compost for nutrients, and a blanket of mulch. We're working in sections, but can already see the improvement.

Compost mix delivery day. 10 yards!
Thank goodness for decent weather and wonderful volunteers. We were able to add at least 5" of mix to all the beds.

Thank you, North Pocono Public Library.
We are honored to be part of your mission to be a resource to the community.

We're celebrating 11 years of The Garden Project at the North Pocono Public Library and nearly 12,000 pounds of fresh produce donated to the North Pocono Food Pantry!

Last year, a team of 20 dedicated volunteers planted, cultivated, and cared for a variety of crops in our 21 raised beds, including potatoes, beans, lettuce, cabbage, onions, cucumbers, and tomatoes. By the end of the season, they had harvested and donated 1,108 pounds of crops to help feed the 250+ families our local Food Pantry serves.

We couldn't be more proud of the Garden Project and their hard work. We are so fortunate to have such a devoted group of volunteers and we can't wait to see what they do in 2026.

Located in the Bill’s ShopRite Plaza, the Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm and the first Wednesday of each month from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm to anyone living in the North Pocono School District in need.

Today was a milestone day at the North Pocono Public Library Garden! After a slow and soggy start to the season, we officially surpassed the 1,000 pound mark of organic produce that has gone to the local food pantry. Such an impactful little powerhouse of a garden!!🥬
