The DIVA Effect, Inc

The DIVA Effect, Inc The butterfly effect is the concept that a very small change in initial conditions can have large effects.

We are a community organization preparing women and young girls (ages 8-12) to be agents of change in their own communities by offering wrap around services to assist participants in developing healthy habits of the mind, body, and spirit. The DIVA Effect is our belief that an empowered woman can make a long lasting impact in her own community. We are a nonprofit organization, 501 (c) (3), of prof

essional women and female entrepreneurs networking our resources together to empower women in under-served communities. Through our combined efforts, we will strengthen women living in low-income neighborhoods and enable them to live self-sufficient lives so that they in turn will be better equipped to care for their families and change the narrative of their own communities. Be sure to join us at our upcoming Meet and Greet to get details on how you can be involved in this group of empowered women. Vision: Empowered women changing the narrative of their own community. Mission: To empower women in under-served neighborhoods through leadership and life-skills training that will enable them to strengthen their families and change the narrative of their own communities.

A fresh start to a new life awaits you every single day.
When you open your eyes each morning, put grace, gratitude, and God on your lips. Yesterday is gone. Today is a new opportunity—a new beginning.
Today, you get to choose how you will move, how you will live, and who you will BE.
Will you choose faith over fear?
Peace over worry?
Purpose over procrastination?

DIVA Dolls Year-End Recap

This year, our DIVA Dolls continued growing in confidence, leadership, and sisterhood through meaningful conversations and intentional community.

Throughout the year, the girls focused on:
• Creating emotionally safe spaces
• Building sisterhood and collaboration
• Learning communication and healthy boundaries
• Naming emotions with confidence
• Developing leadership and public speaking skills
• Growing through teamwork and problem solving

Because of the generosity of our donors and supporters, we were also able to bless each girl with a special year-end gift as a reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported.

We are excited to launch a new DIVA Dolls chapter in Baltimore this fall. We are also looking to expand the GEMs Pathway in Georgia. If you are interested in launching a chapter at your school or within your community, or simply just want to learn more about our GEMs Pathway, see attached flyer and please contact our admin team.

Sis… healing is hard when you’re trying to do it alone.

So many women are carrying silent battles, emotional exhaustion, past wounds, disappointment, grief, anxiety, burnout, and spiritual heaviness while still showing up for everyone else. But you were never meant to carry it all by yourself.

That’s why we have partnered with The Jade Chrysalis, LLC to bring you *The Soul Detox Room* — a FREE faith-based healing community designed to help women release soul wounds, break internal barriers, heal emotionally and spiritually, and realign with God’s purpose for their lives.

This is more than just another online group. It’s a safe space for honest conversations, encouragement, healing, reflection, growth, and community with other women who are also on a journey toward wholeness.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally drained, disconnected, or simply in need of a reset… this space was created with YOU in mind.

✨ Healing starts with one decision: showing up for yourself.

Join us today. Your healing matters. 🖤

Our May Newsletter is here! 💜

Along with upcoming events and an introduction to our newest Board Member, be sure to check out this month’s Grace Notes reflection:

“In October 1991, Anita Hill testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding allegations of sexual harassment against then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas…
The hearings sparked a national conversation about workplace sexual harassment and inspired a record number of women to run for Congress. But in many ways, the hearings did something else too—they exposed how quickly a woman, especially a Black woman, could be vilified for speaking her truth.
Now pause for a second—this is not about politics. Stay with me…”

This month’s reflection explores truth, sisterhood, silence, voice, and the price Black women often pay for speaking honestly.

We are also excited to announce that The DIVA Effect headquarters will officially be relocating back to Baltimore, Maryland — the city where our organization was founded. DIVA Dolls Sisterhood Session Recap from 1/30/26 ✨

This past Friday, our DIVA Dolls spent time building what sisterhood truly means. Through open conversations, teamwork, and real-life scenarios, the girls shared their thoughts on the qualities that make a strong, healthy sisterhood. 💖

They created a word cloud filled with values like kindness, trust, respect, and support—and worked together to find solutions to challenges they may face along the way. Moments like these remind us that sisterhood is learned, practiced, and nurtured.

We’re so proud of our girls for speaking up, listening to one another, and growing together. This is how future leaders are built. ✨

Check in next week to see today’s recap.
