Our Past Do Good family could use some prayers. ❤️
We recently shared the wonderful news that Delanie was in remission and had gotten to ring that bell at Children’s. Today, we’re asking our Do Good community to surround Delanie and her family with a little extra love and prayer.
Delanie had her 6-month post-chemo scans this week, and unfortunately, they brought some uncertainty.
Her scans showed a new enlarged lymph node near the area where her lymphoma was previously found, along with some changes around her thymus. There are several very possible explanations for what they are seeing, including a recent viral infection and normal changes after chemotherapy, but there is also the possibility that her lymphoma has returned.
Right now, they simply don’t know.
Next week, Delanie will undergo a PET scan and MRI, and depending on those results, she may also need a biopsy.
The good news is that Delanie feels great. She has no symptoms, and in true Delanie fashion, she fully believes she is just fine. ❤️ Her mom shared that through all of this, Delanie is standing taller, happier, more confident and somehow more prepared for whatever comes next than the adults around her.
But for her family, the waiting and uncertainty are incredibly hard.
They have already walked this road once. They know what it looks like, what it takes, and how much it affects an entire family. The thought of potentially having to walk it again is understandably terrifying.
So today, we’re asking our community to do what it does best: surround this family.
Please pray that next week’s testing brings good news. Pray that this lymph node is nothing more than the result of a recent illness. Pray for clear answers, peace in the waiting, and strength for Delanie’s family and everyone who loves her.
