A powerful moment of advocacy and leadership as Law Enforcement Torch Run Athlete Ambassador Stephanie Wilkerson met with Moore County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Ronnie Fields to share the Special Olympics North Carolina mission of hope, inclusion, and acceptance.

Thank you, Sheriff Fields, for taking the time to learn more about our athletes and explore opportunities to work together in support of Special Olympics North Carolina across Moore County and communities throughout the state.

Congratulations to Wawa on the grand opening of its newest North Carolina location in the Wilmington area! 🎉

This morning's celebration included the Hoagies for Heroes competition, where members of the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office took home the win, earning a $1,000 donation to Special Olympics North Carolina.

Thank you to Wawa for continuing to invest in local communities and support organizations that make a difference. 💙

This month, members of the SONC State Council Leadership Team and our Athlete Ambassadors had the opportunity to connect with law enforcement leaders from across North Carolina. Athlete Ambassador Bryan Henry joined State Council leadership at the North Carolina Police Executive Association Conference in Wilmington, while Athlete Ambassador Stephanie Wilkerson attended the North Carolina Sheriffs' Association Business Conference in Myrtle Beach alongside State Council leadership.

These events provided valuable opportunities to network, strengthen partnerships, and share the impact of Special Olympics North Carolina. We are grateful for the continued support of our law enforcement community and look forward to working together to raise awareness and create more opportunities for our athletes across the state. 💙💛

We're excited to host the 2026 Truck Convoy once again on August 15 at zMAX DRAGWAY in Concord. Participants will take to the roads for a 28-mile, law enforcement-escorted ride up and down I-485 in support of more than 53,000 Special Olympics North Carolina athletes.

We want to thank R+L Carriers, Red Classic, and Messer for joining the Truck Convoy once again and for their continued commitment to making this event a success.

We look forward to bringing together our supporters, partners, and community for another memorable day of impact and inclusion across North Carolina.

What an amazing night at Texas Roadhouse! 🎉

Thank you to Texas Roadhouse for hosting our Tip-A-Cop fundraiser and for being such a strong supporter of Special Olympics. A special shoutout to our LETR officers and athlete volunteers who helped make the event possible, and to all the wonderful patrons whose generosity and encouragement made the evening a success.
