For Louise’s 7th Birthday, it’s only fitting she got some new wheels! A cute little forest green (our color… with matching buggy whip!) Kutzmann, in fact! Still dialing it in, but we already enjoyed the ease of entry for our Student Driver. We’re always keeping an eye out for better ways or different equipment to help our participants experience even more success at the barn. Chances are- if it helps one person, it helps us all have a better drive. Thanks to some new friends in the community for making this possible!

Happy Birthday to LRF Louise (7!!) and LRF Thelma (5!!)! Who knew you two would be such an adventure? Our best therapy driving horse, Louise, and our most steadfast therapy riding horse, Thelma! These girls go anywhere and do everything like they own the place. Did you know their Momma, Anafina, had the same birthday too? Buy a lotto ticket- it’s a lucky day!

Team Harnessing Hope found ourselves at Peace Learning Center partnering with our friends from Stable Space for day camp! Rotating through stations campers learned how to find regulation in their bodies through movement and what better way than with the partnership of a horse. We recognized all the emotions that one may go through in a day and how we can practice a pause, do a little regulation (perhaps a horse breath!) and maybe get a little help from our Herd to make it through.
Thank You Stable Space, Peace Learning Center, Eagle Creek and our Super Harnessing Hope horses and humans- It’s amazing the great things we can do when we all work together as a Herd!

What do you do when you’re given a tough task and expected to figure it out? You use your resources! In this case, that means working together with your trusted friends. Take a horse breath, consider the info you have, look for clues, talk it over, and give it a good try!

We are so thankful for these awesome volunteers who always lend a listening ear, a word of encouragement, and big ol’ smile. They’re the best!
