Below you will read a heartfelt request from the daughter of a mom who has been battling cancer for quite awhile. 🙏
This mom is also the daughter-in-law of one of our LW board members and the mom of one of our students. Please read carefully ... 💔

If you were to know our last name, you'd think of family.
Time-tested on the wrestling mat, across the farmlands, and now, on the medical battleground we call cancer.
It’s hard for me to write this post, but our family is asking our community to rally together.
My mom is an incredibly strong woman, with not an ounce of negativity in her body. She is a fighter, a warrior, and a woman of incredible faith. She has faced this battle with strength, grace, and an indomitable spirit—and she is still fighting.
Today, my mom is beginning a new journey in Arizona, pursuing holistic and targeted treatments designed to supercharge her immune system and help her body fight the cancer naturally. It is a different approach from anything she has tried before, and with it comes renewed hope for our family.
But this journey comes with an enormous financial burden, and we need your help.
Please take a few moments to read the amazing tribute written by my father, and if the spirit leads, we would greatly appreciate any support you are able to give.
“No one fights alone.”
For me, those aren’t just words on my dad’s tattoo anymore. They are a life statement that our family will forever carry.

The Arizona skies and my mom’s indomitable spirit remind me that God is good and still in control, even when we don’t know what lies ahead.
She is still fighting, and our family is locked arm in arm with her, with God as our leader. We value anyone who chooses to link arms with us in this fight toward healing.
