A wheelchair can change a life.

But being seen changes a heart.

At the end of this month, our team is heading to East Africa to distribute wheelchairs to individuals affected by disability in Kenya. Alongside local ministry partners, we’ll be serving families, encouraging communities, and sharing the hope of the Gospel.

Many of the people we’ll meet have spent years isolated, overlooked, or told their disability was a punishment.

We get to tell them something different:
God sees them.
God loves them.
And He has not forgotten them.

Please join us in praying over this mission trip — for protection, compassion, wisdom, and opportunities to reflect Christ in every interaction.

Exodus 3 reminds us:
“I have surely seen the affliction of My people…”

What a gift to serve a God who sees suffering and moves toward it with love. 🤍

Luke 14 Ministries is heading back to Kenya. 🤍

Over the next week, this team will serve individuals impacted by disability through wheelchair distribution, adaptive equipment, encouragement, and the love of Christ.

In places where disability is often viewed through the lens of shame or limitation, they are bringing a different message:
You are seen.
You are valued.
You are deeply loved by God.

Be praying for safe travels, strength for the team, open hearts, and meaningful connections with every family they encounter. Pray that each wheelchair delivered would not only bring mobility, but dignity, hope, and the reminder that God has not forgotten them.

This is holy work. 🙏

This trip to Kenya is just the beginning.

If you’ve ever felt the nudge to serve… this is your sign.

Come be part of what God is doing through disability ministry around the world.

One of the most beautiful parts of the mission of Luke 14 Ministries is watching people bring it into their own communities and homes.

This week, a women’s Bible study in Athens hosted an end-of-the-year luncheon with a different vision in mind. Instead of gathering simply to celebrate themselves, they intentionally created space for women impacted by disability to be the guests of honor.

What unfolded felt like a glimpse of the Kingdom of God.

The room quickly filled with laughter, dancing, and joy. One woman excitedly requested her favorite song and danced to every word while others joined her without hesitation or fear of what anyone thought. Their joy was pure, free, and contagious.

One moment especially moved us deeply. A woman who had spent the afternoon in her wheelchair rolled into the center of the dance circle and said, “Hold on, I’m going to stand up. I want to dance.” After enduring 18 ankle surgeries over the years, she slowly stood and began dancing alongside everyone else.

They all held back tears watching.

It was a reminder that sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is simply creating space — space where people feel welcomed, seen, celebrated, and loved.

This is the mission of Luke 14 in action. Not just in churches or organized programs, but around everyday tables where people choose to make room for others.

Thank you to women’s group for putting together such a beautiful event, and thank you to Tri-County Athens and Morning Star for bringing our special friends and helping create such a meaningful afternoon.

The Heart Behind Luke 14 Ministries

At Luke 14 Ministries, everything we do points back to one thing:

Helping individuals and families affected by disability find connection, community, and Jesus.

Because everyone deserves a seat at the table.

This is more than a wheelchair distribution trip.

It’s a reminder to hurting people that God remembers them.

At the end of this month, our team will travel to Kenya to provide wheelchairs and accessible equipment to individuals impacted by disability. Many recipients have never had the opportunity to move independently, attend school, participate in community life, or experience the dignity that accessibility can provide.

But even deeper than physical mobility is the message we hope each person hears:

You are not forgotten.
You are not cursed.
You are deeply loved by God.

Please pray that the love of Christ would permeate every moment of this mission — every chair delivered, every conversation shared, every prayer spoken.

“This is the Lord’s work; may we simply be faithful.” 🤍

This month, a team of 15 physical therapists, mechanics, and support members will travel to Kenya to distribute wheelchairs to individuals impacted by disability.

But this mission is about so much more than mobility.

For many recipients, this will be the first time they’ve ever been told:
“You are seen. You are loved. God has not forgotten you.”

In communities where disability is often viewed as a curse, we have the opportunity to share a different story — one of dignity, compassion, hope, and the love of Christ.

Some individuals have spent their entire lives crawling on the ground. A wheelchair doesn’t just change movement… it changes access, independence, community, and possibility.

Please pray for our team as we go. Pray for safe travels, open hearts, and that every conversation would reflect the love of God.

“God has remembered you this day.” 🤍

We’ve seen it again and again—
God uses what feels broken to build something beautiful.

We’re not just delivering wheelchairs—we’re delivering the Gospel.

Each chair is fitted with care.
Each person is seen with dignity.
Each moment is an opportunity to say: God has not forgotten you.
