Adult Adventure is almost here, and we want YOU to be part of it! We’re looking forward to a wonderful time of friendship, laughter, worship, adventures, and all the fun that comes with being together.

A locked door is not the end of the story.

Sometimes God meets us right there in the hallway.

Through a friend who understands.
A community that welcomes us.
A place where our children belong.
A reminder that we aren’t walking alone.

That is what your support helps make possible through Luke 14 Ministries.

At Camp Celebrate, we walk alongside families who know what uncertainty feels like.

There are hard stories here. There are struggles that don’t disappear simply because we gather together.

But there is also SO much joy.

There are friendships.
Dance parties.
Laughter.
Worship.
Community.
Belonging.

And year after year, we witness the same beautiful truth:

Struggle and joy can exist in the same story.

Disability can bring very real challenges, but doors that once seemed like barriers can become bridges—bridges to deeper community, greater joy, and a fuller reflection of the love of Christ.

Adults with disabilities deserve opportunities to build friendships, experience independence, have adventures and find a community where they belong.

Sometimes we think peace will come when the answer comes.

When the diagnosis changes.
When the prayer is answered.
When the door finally opens.
When life gets easier.

But Jesus offers us something different.

Peace in the middle of it.

We don’t have to manufacture peace when life feels uncertain. We simply receive the peace Christ gives.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.” — John 14:27

What if the locked door isn’t the end of the story?

In John 20:19, the disciples were gathered behind locked doors, afraid and uncertain about what came next.

And Jesus came to them.

He didn’t wait for them to figure out how to get out. He entered the room and simply said:

“Peace be with you.”

For families affected by disability, life can sometimes feel like a hallway filled with locked doors — unanswered questions, uncertainty, grief, waiting, and circumstances we cannot change.

But we are never alone in that hallway.

Jesus enters the places we cannot escape and offers a peace we do not have to manufacture ourselves.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” — John 14:27

Whatever door you are standing in front of today, may you remember this:

Christ is already there.

What if the hard places in our lives aren’t places we have to escape before we can experience joy?

At Camp Celebrate, we saw it everywhere—families carrying real struggles while laughing, dancing, connecting, and experiencing true belonging.

The circumstances may not have changed, but Jesus was present in the middle of them.

There can be peace in the struggle.
There can be joy in the unknown.
There can be hope in the hallway. ❤️

Life can feel like a hallway filled with doors.

Some open.
Some close.
And some feel completely locked.

For families affected by disability, there can be so many moments that feel like locked doors—answers we can’t find, circumstances we can’t change, and futures we can’t control.

But John 20:19 reminds us of something beautiful.

The disciples were behind a locked door, afraid and uncertain. Jesus didn’t wait for them to figure out how to get out.

He entered the room.

Maybe the promise isn’t that every locked door will suddenly open.

Maybe the promise is that Jesus is already with us behind it.

“Peace be with you.” — John 20:19
