Ridin’ High Runs on the Hearts of Our Volunteers!

We are SO grateful for the incredible volunteers who help make Ridin’ High Therapeutic Riding Center possible! 💙

From getting our horses groomed, tacked up, and ready for their riders to keeping the barn clean, organized, and safe, every helping hand makes a difference. Whether you’re preparing for lessons, caring for our amazing horses, or making sure our barn is a welcoming place for everyone, your time and dedication mean more than you know.

It takes a special kind of heart to give your time to help others, and our volunteers do just that every single day. Because of YOU, we can continue creating meaningful moments, building confidence, and bringing hope and healing through the power of horses.

Thank you for being the heart behind the horses and helping make Ridin’ High a special place for our riders, horses, and community! We couldn’t do it without you! 💙

Research confirms what we see at Ridin’ High every day!

A recent study conducted at the University of Colorado found that therapeutic horseback riding reduced hyperactivity in children with autism. Horse-related activities also improved emotional regulation and social functioning.

At Ridin’ High, we see the connection between horses and children building confidence, emotional regulation, and strong relationships.

This research shows why our mission matters and why we’re so passionate about making equine-assisted activities available to people who need them!

We need high-quality donations for the Silent Auction at Ridin' High's Benefit Rodeo (which will be held Nov. 13-14th at Walters State Expo Center)! All proceeds help support our therapeutic riding program, which serves people with challenges / disabilities.

Here are some great ideas for donations. We're sure you can think of more!

*Themed Baskets (Coffee, Dog/Pet, Spa, Gourmet Food, Chocolate, Movie Night at Home, Vacations, etc.)
*Tickets (Dollywood, Entertainment Venues, Concerts, Zoo)
*Gift Coupons for Services (Vet, Spa, Mechanic, HVAC...really anything people need!)
*High Quality Items (New) - Tools, Jewelry, Blankets, etc.

Items can be dropped off at Ridin' High (Mondays-Thursdays, 12-6 pm) at 5722 Long Creek Road, Morristown, TN. If those times aren't convenient for you, please email Linda at [email protected] and we'll find an alternative time. You can also call Cindy (Silent Auction Coordinator) at 201-696-1769.

Instructors have such a powerful impact on the riders they teach-not just in the arena, but in their confidence, growth, and lives. 💙🐴
We are so sad to see one of our amazing instructors, Lindy, leave the Ridin’ High program. While we will certainly miss having her with us, we are incredibly grateful for the time, heart, and dedication she has poured into our riders.

Her legacy will live on through every rider she encouraged, every skill she helped develop, and every life she touched along the way. We are so thankful for the impact Lindy has made at Ridin’ High.

THANK YOU to Andy Skokna (Holy Trinity Knights of Columbus) for his skill and willingness to fix some issues with our roof. We also want to thank Tom Wisseman's and Pat Dooley for their help facilitating this project.

Andy has decades of roofing experience - and clearly the courage to go with it. As a result of his generosity of spirit and gift of service, our facility is now free of leaks! Thank you!
