Calling all established volunteers!

Tomorrow, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, we have a wonderful learning opportunity as Amanda Smith Cross, a certified saddle fitter, visits Ridin' High. We are SO grateful that Amanda is graciously donating her high-end saddle fitting expertise and skills to make sure our therapy horses have the most comfortable saddle setups!

Stop by when you can to observe, ask questions, and learn more about proper saddle fit and how it impacts a horse's comfort, movement, and overall well-being. This is a great chance to expand your horsemanship knowledge and see professional saddle fitting in action.

There’s something incredible about watching young people roll up their sleeves and work hard for the benefit of others.

That's what happened today when a group of dedicated teenagers--Austin, Kaeden, Sophie, and Ramsay--spent hours reworking Fancy's stall so we could install stall mats. The project involved removing old footing, leveling the surface, and preparing the stall for its new mats--a job that required determination, teamwork, muscles, and plenty of sweat!

Matted stalls provide significant benefits for our horses. They offer better cushioning for joints, improve a horse's comfort while resting, save money on bedding, and make stalls much easier to keep clean.

We also want to offer a big shout out to Cindy D. for sponsoring the $500 cost of this stall improvement for therapy horse, Fancy. Your generosity is helping provide a safer and more comfortable home for our horses.

Would you like to help us continue this project? We are seeking sponsors for additional stalls at $500 each, which covers the materials necessary. The good news? Every sponsored stall directly improves the comfort and well-being of the horses in our care.

Thank you to our hardworking teens and to everyone who helps make these improvements possible!

Please help us welcome Wrangler to Ridin’ High!

Wrangler is an Appendix Quarter Horse, and we are so excited to have him join our herd! We are incredibly grateful to his wonderful family (DJ, Susan, and KaylaRae) for allowing Ridin’ High to have Wrangler on a care lease so he can help serve our participants and program.

We look forward to getting to know this handsome boy and watching the impact he will make in the lives of others. Welcome, Wrangler!

Spaces are filling up quickly for the Summer Session, which begins June 1st. To register, please follow these three easy steps:

1. Make sure your paperwork (rider packet) is up-to-date
2. Contact Linda for available times to be tentatively scheduled
3. Pay by May 25th to completely secure your space

You can pay by check, cash, or PayPal. To use PayPal, please click on the "Donate" link at the bottom of the page on our website (www.ridinhigh.org) which will take you to the correct account. Just put the participant's name in the "Notes" section.

We want to offer a HUGE thank you to Kris for her generous donation of grooming kits and fly masks for the Ridin’ High therapy horses!

The grooming kits are used to keep our horses clean, healthy, and comfortable. Grooming also gives our participants a great way to bond with their favorite horse.

The fly masks help protect the horses’ eyes and faces from flies and sun exposure so that they are more comfortable during the summer months.
