Paws4Good is a non profit organization created in response to the challenges many people face financially with having a pet. People who are financially challenged (i.e. the homeless, those living below the poverty line) have the hardest time caring for their pets, struggling to provide them with adequate supplies and medical care. A leading reason for the growing population of homeless animals is abandonment and/or surrender by their owners due to an inability to provide sufficient care. Paws4Good believes that everyone should have the opportunity to have an animal companion, and that nobody should feel the pressure to give up their pets because of financial challenges. We hope to provide the opportunity to have a pet to those who could greatly benefit from the companionship (without the financial challenges) while simultaneously aiding the effort to lower the number of animals that are homeless.
