In NJ Tutoring Corps' 2025–26 School Year Report, 63% of surveyed tutors said their NJTC experience inspired them to pursue a career in education.

In NJ Tutoring Corps' 2025–26 School Year Report, 97% of surveyed math scholars and 94% of surveyed literacy scholars said they enjoyed working with their tutor.

At Riverton School District, high-impact tutoring is helping scholars strengthen their math skills and build confidence in what they can achieve.

According to NJ Tutoring Corps' 2025–26 School Year Report, scholars across the program are making meaningful progress. Beyond academic growth, scholars reported feeling stronger in math, enjoying their tutoring experience and believing they could even teach their friends math!

Strong school partnerships and ongoing tutor support are essential to creating these positive learning experiences. As one Riverton ELA tutor shared, consistent communication and support from the NJTC team helped address challenges and better meet scholars' needs.

NJTC scholars are closing learning gaps in literacy.

At the beginning of the 2025–26 program cycle, 70% of scholars receiving literacy tutoring were performing two or more grade levels behind. By the end of the cycle, that number had dropped to 48%.

That progress means more scholars are moving closer to grade-level proficiency and strengthening the foundational literacy skills they need for continued academic success.

Academic growth is only part of the story.

For NJ Tutoring Corps scholars, high-impact tutoring also creates space to ask questions, build confidence and keep moving forward.

In the 2025–26 school year, 78% of surveyed math scholars said they felt stronger in math after tutoring, while 75% of literacy scholars said they felt stronger in literacy.

That confidence matters. When scholars begin to believe they can do the work, they’re more willing to engage, participate and take on what comes next.
