The Youth Connection The Youth Connection (YC) is a drug prevention and youth leadership project serving Hamblen county.

The Youth Connection (YC) is a drug prevention and youth leadership project intended to harness the power of peer pressure-making it a positive force to encourage young adults to live free of drugs, alcohol, and to***co. We believe that the youth in our community are a valuable and powerful resource in their own development and should be an integral part in program planning and implementation. By

developing our students to be leaders, thinkers, and doers we are preventing underage drug, alcohol, and to***co abuse. The YC is supported by the Hamblen County Substance Abuse Coalition (HCSAC) and their strategy to delay or prevent the onset of alcohol and to***co use among youth. By embracing youth as a resource and partner in prevention, the YC promotes healthy lifestyle choices and a no-use message against ALL substances. Investing in our student’s leadership abilities we are empowering them to tap into their own beliefs and ideas by discovering creative strategies to make their future brighter. The YC’s mission is to help youth design a plan of action to improve their own community and engage other teens to stay substance free. It is only through engaging our local youth in problem solving that we can truly change the community we live in.

Hamblen County Substance Abuse Coalition has designated SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14th as the date for their first ever Mini-Golf Fundraiser. The Youth Connection will be attending this event and helping the community prevent drug abuse one step at a time.

Please attend with us, we'll have food and have fun playing mini-golf! This is a great cause to support, if you know anyone who would be willing to head out here!
Last few days to purchase a $10 ticket for your 4-person team, be sure to stop by the office in downtown Morristown!
