From 400 to 700 hens! What an incredible milestone for the women of Grupo Cajolá! ❤️ In March 2025, seven hardworking women launched their egg-farm cooperative with 400 hens. Through dedication, teamwork, and determination, they have built a growing and sustainable business. In September 2026, they took another exciting step forward, replacing their original flock with 700 young hens! Through their own savings, earnings from sales, and the generosity of donors who helped fund 300 additional hens, these inspiring women are continuing to grow their business and create new opportunities for their community. Their journey is a beautiful example of what women can accomplish when they work together and believe in their dreams. Congratulations to these incredible women! We are so proud of you!

Little scientists at work! ⛵💧 During free play, our preschoolers experimented with floating and sinking using small paper boats. As they played, they explored what happens when different objects are placed in water, turning a simple activity into a moment of curiosity and discovery.

Learning new skills can feel different for everyone! 🧶 Our preschoolers in Cajolá practiced braiding, and while some children said it was hard, others thought it was easy.

Activities like this give children a chance to practice patience, coordination, and confidence while learning that it’s okay for something new to feel challenging at first. 💛

Families play an important role in a child’s learning journey. During a recent parent meeting in Cajolá, families came together to talk about the importance of staying involved, understanding what their children are learning, and finding ways to support them at home.

When parents, teachers, and the community work together, children are better supported both in and outside the classroom. 💛

📚 This World Literacy Day, we’re celebrating the power of books, language, and community. Our library in Cajolá, Guatemala, gives children a welcoming space to read, learn, and imagine new possibilities for their futures. The collection includes books for preschool and primary school students, including books written in Mam, helping children see their language, culture, and identity reflected in the stories they read.

Literacy is more than learning to read and write. It helps build confidence, opportunity, and a stronger future for the whole community. Every book shared and every child encouraged brings Cajolá one step closer to a future shaped by knowledge, belonging, and hope. 💛
