March 2023 Meeting Press Release:
Zonta Club of Morristown Area’s Virtual March Meeting – the Public is invited to attend.
The Zonta Club of Morristown Area (ZCMA) is pleased announce the program for its membership meeting on Tuesday,
March 21, 2023, at 6:30pm EST on Zoom.
Invited guest speaker, James Howard, has been a long time friend and supporter of the ZCMA. For many years, James –
a serial entrepreneur – welcomed club meetings at his elegant tearoom, The Cosy Cupboard in Convent Station, NJ.
Shuttered by the pandemic, James closed the tearoom and moved on. One of his contributions to ZCMA was to hold
classes for them on Design Thinking – Thinking outside the box to build membership. James, a college professor, is a
natural teacher. James has undertaken a new project. He is the Executive Director of The Black Inventors Hall of Fame
to be housed in Newark, NJ. James is an award-winning film producer.
Our other guest speaker is Michelle Dupree Harris, from the Morristown area. She is the owner of Dupree
Designs. Michelle is a woman of many talents. She is an Independent Artist, Writer, Teacher, Crafter, and
Performer. Currently she is working on the Morristown African American History Film Project. She will go into detail
about her work on the film during our meeting.
We are anticipating a lively discussion with these two remarkable people!
The Zonta Club of Morristown Area meets monthly.
The next meeting will be held on April 18, 2023 as a Zoom Meeting.
New members are welcome and can obtain membership information at zontamorristown.com or by emailing us at

Zonta International was organized in Rochester, New York in 1919, and now has a global membership of more than
30,000 members in 60 nations. The ZCMA was chartered in 1956. Some of the organizations the ZCMA Service Fund
supports are: Homeless Solutions, Jersey Battered Women’s Service (JBWS), Operation Holiday, Centenary Stage
Company’s Women Playwright’s Series, MAPSA, and the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey, as well as numerous other
community-based projects.
Zonta International envisions a world in which women& #39;s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able
to achieve her full potential. In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making
positions on an equal basis with men. In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
