Meet Gigi, part of the beauty shop crew at Viewcrest Health Center in Duluth. Her specialty? Keeping residents company while they get their hair cut and styled.

Harvey has a solution for missing puzzle pieces: he makes his own.

He puts the puzzle together, finds the empty spot and makes a replacement from scratch. Some of his favorites hang on his walls.

Harvey spent his career as a mechanic, including time in the military. When asked why he repairs the puzzles, his explanation came back to that: fixing things is what he does.

St. Francis Legacy Foundation supports seniors and adults with disabilities in doing more of what they enjoy, with independence and connection.

The people we serve have personalities, favorite things, friendships and plans for their days. They also have needs—and many have limited resources.

St. Francis Legacy Foundation raises money to support those people: seniors and adults with disabilities across Minnesota.

Your donations help provide personal comforts, opportunities to get out with friends, and resources that support independence. They also help strengthen care close to home, near family and familiar faces.

We want people to have the support they need and the chance to keep enjoying who they are.

A Story to Tell | Meet Joan from Little Falls

Joan started crocheting as a freshman in high school and hasn’t stopped since. She loves making blankets and sharing her creations with friends and family.

Her career was in bookkeeping, where she found satisfaction in getting the numbers to balance. Crocheting has given her another way to enjoy seeing something come together—and share it with others.

She’s called our Little Falls community home for about three years. When asked what she enjoys most, Joan shared that she never feels lonely. Having people to spend time with, and feeling secure, means a lot to her.

The interests and friendships that make each day meaningful are at the heart of what the St. Francis Legacy Foundation supports. 💙
