Join us for a Ghost Lantern Class with Carmen Morris and create your own adorable ceramic ghost lantern just in time for Halloween!

No pottery experience needed. Carmen will guide you every step of the way, making this a fun class for beginners and experienced creators alike.

This week, we’re celebrating National Nonprofit Day and the organizations working to make a difference in their communities. 💛

At Impact Arts Council, our mission is to connect people of all ages and abilities to arts education, entertainment, and community engagement opportunities in North Jefferson County, Alabama.

Through arts education, inclusive programming, community events, and opportunities that bring people together through creativity, we work to make the arts accessible and meaningful for everyone.

At the heart of everything we do is one simple belief:

We’re so grateful for the volunteers, artists, families, community partners, donors, and supporters who make our work possible. This week is a wonderful reminder to celebrate the work happening in our community and everyone who helps Impact continue to grow. 💛

Last week, members of the Impact Arts Council team traveled to Philadelphia for the 2026 Leadership Exchange in Arts and Disability (LEAD®) Conference!

Assistant Director Autumn and Director of Special Programs Katrina spent several days learning alongside arts and cultural professionals from across the country, exploring new ideas and practical approaches to accessibility and inclusion in the arts.

They came home with new resources, fresh perspectives, and plenty of ideas they’re excited to bring into the work we do at Impact.

At the heart of it all is something we believe deeply: the arts should be a place where everyone has the opportunity to participate, create, connect, and belong. 💛🎨

We’re grateful for the opportunity to keep learning, growing, and finding new ways to make an impact in our community.
