Every person has a story, and sometimes all it takes is a community working together to rewrite the ending.

In our newest Phil Good Message video #33, we dive into what it really means to end homelessness and how Grundy County is on the cusp of achieving a major milestone known as "functional zero."

Achieving functional zero doesn't mean no one will ever face a housing crisis—it means having a system in place so that whenever someone in our community experiences homelessness, we can provide shelter, support, and a path back into stable housing quickly and effectively.

Reaching this goal is only possible because of the dedication of our volunteers, the generosity of our donors, and the unwavering support of our community. Together, we are building a safety net that ensures everyone gets the help, dignity, and stability they deserve when they need it most.

In our newest Phil Good Message video #32, we share the inspiring story of Mary Ann, a woman who had been in and out of our shelter for the last two years. During one of the most difficult times in her life, Grundy Area PADS, in partnership with the Problem Solving Court, was able to provide the housing, resources, and hope she needed to get back on her feet.

Mary Ann's journey reminds us that hardship can happen to anyone. Thanks to the cooperation of a local landlord and her own hard work, Mary Ann successfully completed her court-assigned programs, secured stable employment, and graduated to self-sufficiency in less than a year. When a community comes together with compassion, lives can be transformed, and people are given the opportunity to rebuild their future.

Stories like Mary Ann's are only possible because of the generosity of our donors, the dedication of our volunteers, and the unwavering support of our community. Together, we're helping people find stability, dignity, and hope when they need it most.

Today we'd like to recognize and thank the Rock Soul Love Luminary Foundation for being an incredible community partner to Grundy Area PADS.

Through their generosity, our clients receive vouchers that help them obtain essential items they need as they work toward stability. It's partnerships like these that remind us what can happen when local organizations come together with a shared purpose—to care for our neighbors and strengthen our community.

We are truly grateful for the compassion and support the Rock Soul Love Luminary Foundation continues to show our clients. Every act of kindness, every partnership, and every helping hand brings hope to someone who needs it most.

💛🎤 Thank you for an incredible afternoon!

Grundy Bank’s First Annual Lip Sync Battle for Charity wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our wonderful community. Together, we raised $1,927.53 in just one hour to support six amazing local nonprofit organizations serving Grundy County.

The Grundy Bank Caring Committee also donated an additional $250 to both winners, bringing the total to $2,427.53.

All of the teams did a FANTASTIC job, and we want to extend a huge congratulations to our winners!

🎤🎶 SIX nonprofits will perform, but only ONE will take home the trophy! 🏆

We are less than ONE MONTH away from the First Annual Grundy Bank Lip Sync Battle for Charity!

On Friday, June 12, 2026, six incredible nonprofit organizations will hit the stage to perform and raise money for their causes.

The nonprofit that raises the most funds from 11 AM to Noon will receive a $250 donation from Grundy Bank. The audience choice winner will also take home a $250 donation—and, of course, the championship trophy!

Every community gets stronger when people decide to step forward and serve others.

In our newest video, we sit down with Brooke, a recent volunteer with Grundy Area PADS, to talk about what inspired her to get involved, what she’s learned through volunteering, and why giving your time can make a real difference in the lives of people right here in our community.
