🎉 Happy Birthday to the ORIGINAL Silly Goose herself… Ms. Tree! 🪿☀️

For those who don’t know, this is where the Silly Goose Club all began. 😂 And somehow, it could not have started with a more fitting person.

Around here, Theresa is also known as Ms. Sunshine — because no matter what is happening, she will find the positive twist. Chaos? She sees an opportunity. A hard day? She’ll find something good in it. Someone struggling? She’s probably already figuring out how to make them laugh.

What makes Theresa’s story even more special is that just a year ago, her life looked completely different. She was living in the city, working in the corporate world, and had zero ABA experience and zero experience working with individuals with special needs.

She just knew she was meant to be doing something different.

Her family brought her to Morris, and somehow that path also brought her to Unlocking Abilities. And we are SO thankful it did.

She joined us for all the right reasons — not because this was a field she already knew, but because she genuinely felt like she had a different purpose in life. She took a chance on something completely new, jumped in with both feet, and quickly became such an important part of UABL.

She brings positivity, humor, compassion, and just the right amount of ridiculousness into our building every single day. She loves our kiddos fiercely, supports the people around her, and has fully embraced the fact that sometimes being a Silly Goose is exactly what the day calls for.

So today, help us wish a VERY Happy Birthday to Ms. Tree, Ms. Sunshine, and the OG Silly Goose. 🪿☀️🎂

Sometimes the unexpected moments turn into some of the best ones. 💙⛈️

When the storms rolled through this week, safety came first and we headed downstairs. But our team made sure the fun came with us!

There was singing, shadow puppets, lots of laughs, and some pretty impressive creativity while we waited out the weather together.

We love seeing our therapists turn a change in routine into an opportunity to connect, have fun, and keep our kiddos smiling. 💙

This is how it all began... 💙

When we first walked through these doors, we saw a building with a lot of potential—but it needed a lot of love and a little less wallpaper!

Countless hours of painting, flooring, cleaning, building, decorating, and teamwork later... it's almost unrecognizable.
We're not giving away the final reveal just yet. 😉
