It’s come to our attention that a lot of people don’t think Morris Cruise Night does much for our town. However we’d like to share what we are very proud of. MCN has been in existence for 20 years and have donated over $400,000 to Grundy County causes. This amount only reflects the nights of the cruises. There are many many more organizations we have donated to. There are no outside venders allowed at our event to protect the Morris businesses. food or merchants. We the MCN installed and maintain the Downtown sound system with the intent to be used for ALL downtown activities in which we only use 5 times a year. We are paid long time members of the Gr Co Chamber of commerce and help promote them and our downtown. We donated $1700.00 for a defibrillator. We average 8,000 spectators and participants per event that patronizes the entire city of Morris not just the downtown in which many return to shop. For many years we’ve donated many items to The operation St. Nick auctions that we purchased restored at our own time and expense. For 20 years we have donated $1000 to Illinois Valley Industries. This is what Morris Cruise Night Does for Morris and Grundy County!
