Our district is doing a clean waterways service project event for the month of April. The Cub Scouts collected 52 pounds of garbage at the Morris Town Beach this past Monday. Great job Scouts!!!

At tonight’s Pack meeting, the Cub Scouts completed their annual holiday craft - this year a reindeer thanks to Mr. Meyer. They also competed in a candy cane challenge and a snowball relay. They also went home with special present (their pinewood derby car), which they will start working on when we begin meeting again in January.

Scouting America develops character, leadership skills, citizenship, and promotes physical fitness. If you’d like that for the youth in your life know it’s always a good time join Cub Scouting.

What a wonderful weekend for the Scouts of Pack and Troop 28 to come together for our annual “Morris Camporee”.

It’s always a pleasure to watch the Troop lead morning training activities with the Pack. This year the boys taught tent pitching, the timber hitch, stretcher making, and geocaching where each Cub got a small, squawking chicken (bad Cubmaster).

Afternoon fun included a hike along the lake as well as some crafts and games in the warm cabin. We wrapped up the day with a campfire, hosted by one of our Troop Scouts who finished a requirement for Communication Merit Badge, S’mores, and Mr. Smith’s traditional bedtime story.

It was a true pleasure to see Scouts from our youngest to our oldest working with each other and having fun in the outdoors!

Last night the Cub Scouts ended our month of learning about citizenship and civics by voting for their choice of marshmallows (the winner) or fudge striped cookies (a close second). In the end, they discovered they were both winners when they were put together as a s’more!

It’s always a good time to join Cub Scouts. We meet most Mondays, 6:30pm at the Morris Fire Department community room.

Thanks to Troop 28 Morris and the Morris Fire Company for providing our fires.

For November the Cub Scouts are working on their Citizenship adventures. From working with our nation’s flag to making cards for our veterans, we combine fun with with learning about how we can be better members of our communities.

Cub Scouts is for all youth in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We meet most Mondays, 6:30pm at the Morris firehouse. It’s always a good time to join Cub Scouts. Come check us out.

Come on down to the Morris Town Halloween 5 to 6 at the town green and see your Scoutmaster and Cubmaster (and Cubby the skeleton) for some delicious candy. And a little wind!

This past Monday, the Cub Scouts had some Halloween fun at our October Pack Meeting. A little sugar might have been had as well.

Thanks to Mother Nature for pushing the rain through, tonight the pack was able to go on a twilight hike to finish our Outdoor Adventure. The Scouts had a blast.
