We strive for this through activities that bring people together and by doing so, we are also fostering a positive community. The purpose of ASA is to continue and further self-education and dissemination of Asian and Asian-American cultures through art, dance, food, language, music, seminars, traditional clothing, story telling, and other means that will aid in the affirmation of Asian contributi
ons to the world. Our goals are to provide support for Asian and non-Asian students to cope with the campus life and community at large, develop and maintain good school spirit, provide exchanging points of view for better interpersonal relationships and encourage Asian students to strive for highest ideals, scholarships and worthwhile accomplishments.
