September 2017-Ordination from Universal Life Church (By request of my brother and future sister in law to surprise our family and perform their wedding ceremony)
The moment I was asked to officiate my first ceremony, I got to work and started learning all I could about wedding and union ceremonies and secular rituals.
My first wedding was performed before my brothers, in October of 2017. When I was asked to stand in as an officiant for a friend and former co-worker's wedding, I couldn’t have been more excited and nervous! Their wedding was beautiful and they were so kind and patient! I loved so much being able to see such an amazing event from a new perspective!
On November 11th 2017, I was humbled and honored to be able to perform the ceremony for my little brother’s wedding at our mother’s 51st surprise birthday party. I fought back tears as I watched my little brother turn a page in his book, sharing his name with another human, another human actually wanted to marry him...wow how life was so funny and surprising :) I knew that night that this was something I would love to do more frequently in the future! I could not ever thank the two of them enough for sparking this flame and starting a new chapter in my life as they began a new chapter in theirs.
It has been years in the making and I am excited to turn a page and continue to write my story.
I am so thankful for the support and encouragement I have had on this journey and look forward to supporting and encouraging you to write memories that will be Unforgettable on your big day!
