🌟 Annual Meeting Picnic Invitation 🌟

We are delighted to announce our Annual Meeting & Picnic will be on Tuesday, June 25th at Heaps Giant Pumpkin Farm. This event is a wonderful chance to meet and connect with fellow Kendall-Grundy Farm Bureau members in a relaxed, enjoyable setting.

What a great cooperative event among many groups and volunteers who enjoy sharing their passions in agriculture with Grundy County 4th graders! An amazing culmination for our Ag In The Classroom year. Thank you to Sara, Heather, Nicole, Howard and crew, the GAVC FFA and Mrs. Biros and the Seneca FFA and Mrs. Hatton for making this day happen!

We had such a lovely time bringing back Ag Jeopardy! Thank you so much MVK school, staff, and custodians for helping to make this possible.
Congratulations to all our competitors on the evening, Olde Tymers included! You guys were all amazing! Morris White Oak with the win, Gardner in second place, and MVK with a strong third place performance. Many thanks to our knowledgeable band of volunteers for keeping the evening running smoothly! We couldn’t do what we do without participants and volunteers!

Another great ag book from Peggy Thomas! Enter the contest, join the newsletter, and see if you win a copy of this new book!

One of our favorite authors, Peggy Thomas, has another ag-related children's book coming out at the end of May from Feeding Minds Press and we want to celebrate by giving 5 lucky Illinois classroom teachers a copy of the book!

Not only will our 5 winners receive a copy of Peggy's book "The Soil in Jackie's Garden," but they will also receive a pack of our Soil Ag Mags and Soil Ag Mag Juniors, a copy of the Soil Your Un**es lesson plan, a pack of un**es to complete the lesson, marking flags so you know where you planted the un**es, AND a signed pair of un**es by Peggy Thomas herself to use as your 'control' pair for the lesson!

What a great school response to our inaugural Ag Day! We have 8 schools attending, with around 400 students! One of the fun activities we have planned for them is seed starting in half of an egg carton.
With such a great student response, we are going to need lots of egg cartons! Do you have some you can donate to a good cause?
Cardboard/paper egg cartons only, please, so the students can plant the egg carton directly in the ground with their baby plants!
