Today’s meeting welcomed Jessica Orr, Northeast Development Director for the Lupus Foundation of America, and Charlotte Diakite, LFA Ambassador, Support Group Leader, Advocate, Volunteer, and Lupus Warrior. Jessica and Charlotte spoke about the mystery of lupus. Lupus is an unpredictable and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It is difficult to diagnose, hard to live with, and a challenge to treat. Lupus has a range of symptoms and strikes without warning.
The Lupus Foundation of America is holding its NJ Walk to End Lupus Now on October 4th at Nomahegan Park in Cranford. To learn more about lupus, please visit www.lupus.org.
