This sleep routine is really beginning to stink! Go to bed at 8:00, (which is early for me), back up at midnight, then back to bed. 3:30am back up for the day..do you know how much news you can see from 3:30am until 7:00am? I can tell you it is a LOT! Everyone have a good day!

Well day before, & yesterday, & today have been nasty days for me. I’m hoping I can get this thrush cleared up with mouthwash; they want to see if that will clear it up before they call medicine in; which will be tomorrow. Head still very sore; all hair follicles are not gone! Very sick this go around, and the energy to get up and do ANYTHING is obsolete. Nausea is rough this time, and stomach is rough this time. I’m down another few pounds, which is good and everything, but this girl is wanting to eat!! Still cant taste anything, but it sure would make this mess more tolerable if I could taste something! It’s going to be crab legs and gambling @ Southland as soon as we get through this!!

Weird how you have a circle, you think. You think you have this one, and that one. Reality is, you have yourself, and yourself only.
Friends feel more like acquaintances instead of friends now a days. Some say I’m there for you, in reality, they just think about you, and i get that. I’m not the greatest “friend” out there, and I have made many mistakes in my past, but i have always tried to be a “good” person. Although sometimes I’ve messed up..lol
I wish so much i had Jana here today to come sit and hang out with me like i was blessed to do with her; i miss her so very much.
This chemo mess is just another bump in the road, but this summer will definitely stink! I want to be fishing, and laying in a pool, or on a beach, just outside, but that’s out this year, so I’m planning a big day on a beach somewhere as soon as it gets hot next summer!
Everyone have a great day, I’m going to try and work in the she shed today, and hopefully we can get the wiring finished and some insulation hung!

Got in, and got started fairly early…now it’s just a couple more hours.
Hopefully this round I’m more “prepared”, and “ready”!
Hair follicles are hurting like little porcupines pricking my head with the hair coming out, my fingernails are becoming a little darker purple right now, lost all sense of taste which stinks, I’ve been extremely tired, but I am truly blessed for what little side effects I had first time around; I’m praying and remaining positive that it’s not any worse with each treatment, but doc says that will probably change.
Blood work was good today, and doc says I’m doing just fine!

Short update:
Day 6 after first round of chemo. Mouth sores, and thrush!! Got some Magic Mouthwash today, and it was a LIFE SAVER!! I haven’t been able to drink much, and hardly eaten anything because of it, so I’m hopeful that will change now because I am down about 13 pounds since last Wednesday, (not that I didn’t need it..lol). I have been very tired, and the sleep pattern is not what I’m used to. Get very tired and sleepy, lay down, and a hour you’re back up! Ive been having muscle spasms quite often, and that makes resting hard sometimes. Headaches I have had daily. My head has become very sore in the past couple of days, and the hair is on the way out, but hopefully it will come back the prettiest of grays..lol
I go back to Kirkland Cancer Center in the morning for labs, doctor appointment, and then to get some fluids. That will take about 5 hours tomorrow total. Thanks for the ones who have called, messaged, and the ones still praying! I think I’ll be all better after this treatment plan is over!

Doing pretty good after this first chemo round.. I’ve had a constant mild headache, I was extremely fatigue today, teeth hurt, low grade fever, I’m not hungry, and when I do drink or eat I taste something else. Nothing taste good except for a saltine cracker!😂🤣
Funny, how you’re thinking, I’m gonna do this and this today…then you go to get up, and it’s like nah, I think I’ll go to bed.. I slept most of the day today, so now I’m up for a while I guess!
Thanks for the continued prayers, the text messages, the calls, and the love! All good, just a bumpy road in the coming months!

Hey everybody! So I went yesterday for my post op appointment out of surgery. They removed the drain, they removed the covers over my breast, and the doctor said it looks good. (I, myself, thinking I look like a freak at the present moment!)
I go back next week for them to remove my stitches around the ni***es, and then maybe I will feel a little more normal.😂
This has been the longest two+years of my life. I’ve had good days, and I’ve had bad days, but everyday God has been good to me! I said that 2022 would be my year, and it has sure turned out that way. I started back to work, & I now have a new work family that I adore. I have met new people, that have I become very close with. I have found that special person who seems to complete me, and I am (as of now), cancer free!
Now, time for me to start enjoying my life a little bit more as soon as I heal. I want to thank everyone who has been there with me on this journey. The ones who have prayed, the ones who have physically helped, and the ones that are still there for me! I have to personally thank my momma, Sherry, because she has been right there the entire time, and learned to be the caregiver I needed, even when it was rough!! A special thank you as well, to my sister, Lori, for helping me through the double mastectomy when we first heard the C word!
A bit of advice…enjoy your life, do the things that make you happy; you never know when there will be a road bump! Love to you all!
