Hey everybody! So I went yesterday for my post op appointment out of surgery. They removed the drain, they removed the covers over my breast, and the doctor said it looks good. (I, myself, thinking I look like a freak at the present moment!)
I go back next week for them to remove my stitches around the ni***es, and then maybe I will feel a little more normal.😂
This has been the longest two+years of my life. I’ve had good days, and I’ve had bad days, but everyday God has been good to me! I said that 2022 would be my year, and it has sure turned out that way. I started back to work, & I now have a new work family that I adore. I have met new people, that have I become very close with. I have found that special person who seems to complete me, and I am (as of now), cancer free!
Now, time for me to start enjoying my life a little bit more as soon as I heal. I want to thank everyone who has been there with me on this journey. The ones who have prayed, the ones who have physically helped, and the ones that are still there for me! I have to personally thank my momma, Sherry, because she has been right there the entire time, and learned to be the caregiver I needed, even when it was rough!! A special thank you as well, to my sister, Lori, for helping me through the double mastectomy when we first heard the C word!
A bit of advice…enjoy your life, do the things that make you happy; you never know when there will be a road bump! Love to you all!
