Congratulations to our colleague, John Gibson, executive director of the Conway County Community Foundation, for his feature in the latest Report Card magazine from the Arkansas School Boards Association!

At 85, John shows no signs of slowing down. Serving on the South Conway County School Board since 2003 and as president since 2013, he continues to make a lasting impact on his community. From his early career in accounting and banking to leading the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce, John’s dedication to serving his community is truly inspiring.

Check out his feature to read more about his leadership, energy, and commitment to education:http://www.arcf.org/app/uploads/2025/09/September-2025-Report-Card-for-web-32.pdf

It takes more than thoughts and prayers to help survivors recover from a mass shooting. We can help you take ACTION. The small town of Fordyce, Arkansas endured horrific violence when a gunman opened fire at a Mad Butcher Grocery store, killing four people and injuring several others. The survivors need help. Not just short term help, like funeral service costs, but long term support, like medical care, legal assistance and mental health services, just to name a few.

The Community Foundation has created the Fordyce Survivors Fund. 100% of the funds donated will be allocated to people directly impacted by the shooting.

The Foundation is also partnering with VictimsFirst and Mass Violence Survivors Fund to help with immediate needs and long-term recovery support.
