Thank you to the Adelaide Club for having us.
📅 The GFWC Adelaide Club met for its regular monthly meeting on January 16 at the Morrilton Chamber of Commerce, with 15 members and two guests in attendance. President Andrea Holland called the meeting to order and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
🎤 Teresa Stell, program chair, introduced guest speakers Darla Rankin and JD Kennemer, who shared about their impactful work serving families in Conway County. Darla Rankin, a board member of Room 29:11, spoke about the organization’s mission to equip foster caregivers with clothing and essential items for children entering their homes. JD Kennemer, co-owner of Therapy Monkey, discussed how physical, occupational, and speech therapy help support brain development in children. He also serves on the board of Horseplay, which uses horses as a form of therapy for children. Both speakers emphasized their shared mission of supporting local families.
📋 Following the program, members held a business meeting and received an update from Mary Jane Norman on plans for the annual 💃🕺 Dinner & Dance on 📆 April 11 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Morrilton. Tickets are 🎟️ $45 and include dinner, dessert, and dancing to 🎶 JM Tunes.

💰 Cash prizes up to $1,000!
This is our only fundraiser each year, with proceeds benefiting scholarships and local charities throughout Conway County.
The meeting concluded with the Club Collect. Our next meeting will be 📅 February 19 at ⏰ 1:00 p.m. at the Morrilton Chamber of Commerce.
