Stan Marathons burial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery Alliance, 2610 Co Rd 57, Alliance, NE 69301.
Family and friends are welcome to attend as we gather to honor and remember Stan.

On this day in 1919, The American Legion was granted their federal charter by Congress.

Thank you to Commander Fred Cawiezel for your service and your dedication to our Morrill American Legion. Also to all our Legionnaires, Sons of the Legion and Auxiliary…thanks for all you do to keep our Legion going so we can serve our Veterans.

Morrill American Legion Post SAL Member Pete Cawiezel held a Flag Etiquette presentation to the 6th grade class on Thursday. We were able to use The American Legion’s excellent pamphlet, ‘Let’s Be Right on Flag Etiquette’. The hands-on presentation was well received by the students, and each student received a copy of the booklet along with a flag pin.
