CONGRATULATIONS to FFPM Sanchez, FFPM Ferguson, FFEMT Phillips, FFEMT Flores, & FFEMT Navarette on your graduation from the Arrowbear Fire Department Inter-Agency Training Tower 25-1 tonight. You've earned it! These five firefighters participated in a 10-week 250+ hour training academy to complete a significant portion of their Firefighter 1 training.

Sincere appreciation and gratitude to Arrowbear Fire Department and their Instructional Cadre for hosting this training tower and for inviting the Morongo Valley, Dagget, & Newberry Springs Fire Departments to participate. We appreciate your desire to collaborate with neighboring agencies to advance the training of these young firefighter recruits. Also, special thank you to the outreach instructor of CalOES/CSTI for teaching hazmat training and Copper Mountain College for use of their fire control props. As always our deepest gratitude to the Morongo Valley Fire Auxiliary for their financial support!

We look forward to Training Tower 25-2 in June and celebrating the round of Morongo Valley Fire Recruit Graduates.

It is with a heavy heart that we report the tragic loss of our Firefighter, Ryan Spandrio, who was killed in a motor vehicle accident while off duty on Tuesday, April 15, 2025.

He Served with honor, professionalism, and courage. He was a valued member at Fire Station 224 in San Bernardino, and a true public servant who demonstrated compassion and a commitment to the community.

We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to his wife, children, family, and colleagues of Firefighter Spandrio.

Funeral details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.

Rest in peace, brother.

The Third Annual Golf Tournament for the Morongo Valley Firefighters Auxiliary in support of Morongo Valley Fire Department is teed up for **Saturday, June 21, 2025**—save the date! Get ready for an epic day of golf, good times, and supporting our local heroes at **Hawks Landing**.

The Morongo Valley Firefighters Auxiliary, a 501(c)(3) non-profit since 1995, is all in for the Morongo Valley Fire Department (MVFD). These champs safeguard our 32-square-mile community of about 5,000 with top-tier fire protection and advanced life support. Every swing at this tournament helps fund critical equipment and training to keep them at their best.

The MVFD firefighters and their families would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Buddy and Tammy for organizing an incredible Christmas parade for the community we all call home. It was truly an honor to host our community for dinner after the parade, serving tacos, pizza, and chili.

We also want to express our gratitude to Jim and Stacy Ragland from Small Town Grill for their generous help with the pizza, as well as to Jason Romero for his amazing chili—it was a crowd favorite!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate and make this event so special.
