📢 COMMUNITY BENEFIT EVENT: STANDING WITH DOM’S FAMILY 📢
Our local community is coming together on Saturday, September 19th to host a Benefit Spaghetti Dinner, Silent Auction, and Co****le Tournament in memory of firefighter Dominic "Dom" Richmond and in support of his family. Dom served and protected our community, and now it’s our turn to stand behind his family.

Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Location: VFW Post 2335 | 1050 W Main St, Mecosta, MI
Spaghetti Dinner: Starts at 2:00 PM
Co****le Tournament: Starts at 3:00 PM (Register at the door)
🎁 Silent Auction Item & Basket Donations Needed!
To make this fundraiser as successful as possible, we are actively collecting donations for our silent auction. We are accepting gift baskets, tool sets, gift cards, sporting gear, experiences, and unique items.

Our hearts go out to our brothers and sisters at Morton Township and Chippewa Martiny Fire Departments, as well as to the family of their member whom left us tragically and prematurely.

This comes as a bitter reminder to check on our friends, colleagues, and loved ones.

Please note: This event is NOT CANCELLED—it has simply been rescheduled.

The safety of our pullers, spectators, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and staff is our top priority. Rather than risk poor weather impacting this incredible event, we’ve chosen to move it to a date that will allow everyone to enjoy the full experience.

✅ All of your favorite pulling classes will still take place.
✅ The same great family-friendly atmosphere.
✅ The same horsepower, competition, and excitement—just on a new date!
