Den Chief Training strengthens both our Scouts and our dens. This course helps new and returning Den Chiefs learn how to support den activities, guide younger Scouts, and grow as leaders. When adult leaders embrace the role, Den Chiefs gain meaningful opportunities — and Cub Scouts benefit from having a positive youth mentor. Cubmasters request Den Chiefs through Scoutmasters, Crew Advisors, or Ship Skippers, who highlight the importance of this leadership position to their units. A great experience for Scouts and a great boost for your den.

Today marks a new milestone in the history of the Jersey Shore and Monmouth Scouting America Councils.

On Thursday, August 20th both councils held meetings of all voting members, and both unanimously approved their merger.

Monmouth and Jersey Shore Councils look forward to combining to provide a quality program, camping opportunities at three diverse camps, membership growth, and retention in a safe environment for the youth that we serve.

Our sincere thanks to the voting members of both Councils, all the volunteers and the staff for your support and vision as we move forward in service to Scouts in Atlantic, Ocean, Monmouth, and parts of Middlesex, Cape May, and Burlington counties.
