Passing of Mrs. Patricia Martucci

To Our Matawan Football Alumni Family,

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Coach Joe Martucci’s wife, Patricia Martucci, a pillar of the Matawan Football Family.

On behalf of our Matawan Football Alumni Community, we extend our deepest condolences to Coach Martucci and his family during this difficult time. Mrs. Martucci meant so much to so many throughout the years, and we ask that you keep the Martucci family in your thoughts and prayers.

Dear Husky Family,

With a heavy heart, we share the sudden passing of fellow Matawan Husky, Tom Watson, Class of 1978.

Tom was not only a proud Husky, but also one of the key members instrumental in helping establish and grow the Matawan Football Foundation. His commitment to the program and to future generations of student-athletes left a lasting impact on the community he cared so deeply about.

A Mass will be held this Saturday at 11:30 AM at St. Clement’s, followed by a gathering in the downstairs area of Washington Engine Company, 176 Jackson Street.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who knew him.

TONIGHT– Join Us for the Matawan Football Hall of Fame Banquet

Dear Matawan Football Family,

Tonight is the Matawan Football Hall of Fame Banquet, and we’re looking forward to a special evening celebrating our program, our history, and our community.

Cocktails reception will begin at 6:30 pm - MJ’s Matawan.

We’ll be honoring this year’s outstanding inductees:
Rodney “Buddy” Scott, Alan Halloway, Michael “Stellz” Postell, and Shane Vergari, a group that truly represents the pride and tradition of Matawan Football.

We are also honored to welcome Coach Rizzo, who will be in attendance as we recognize the legendary undefeated 1975 team a moment that will bring together generations of Huskies.

In addition, we will celebrate the legacy of John “Chief” Donohue, whose impact on youth football and our community continues to be felt by so many.

Who’s Coming This Friday? Join Us 3/20 for the MFAF Hall of Fame Banquet

With the Hall of Fame Banquet this Friday, the excitement continues to build and it’s shaping up to be a special night for everyone connected to Matawan Football.

We’ll be welcoming back alumni from multiple decades as we celebrate this year’s outstanding Hall of Fame inductees:

Hall of Fame Dinner Update: Ticket Information & Cocktail Hour Time - 6:30

Dear Matawan Football Family,

As we continue preparing for this Friday’s Matawan Football Alumni Foundation Hall of Fame Banquet, we wanted to share an important update and a reminder about tickets.

Cocktail Hour Update:
Please note that the cocktail hour has been moved up by 30 minutes and will now begin at 6:30 PM. We look forward to welcoming everyone a little earlier so our guests can enjoy time reconnecting before the program begins.

Ticket Purchases:
If you are planning to attend and have not yet secured your ticket, please note that tickets must now be purchased directly by calling Jeff Shaw. *Tickets are non transferable and there are no 3rd parties selling any legitimate tickets for our event.
