In many South Asian families, men are often expected to be the steady ones. The providers. The protectors. The ones who โstay strongโ no matter what they are carrying.
But strength should not have to mean silence.
Mental health struggles can affect fathers, sons, brothers, partners, friends, and community leaders. Sometimes pain shows up quietly through withdrawal, anger, exhaustion, overworking, or pretending everything is fine.
This Menโs Health Month, we are making space for a different kind of strength: the strength to talk, to ask for help, to rest, to heal, and to be supported.
Check in on the men in your life. Not just when something seems wrong, but regularly, gently, and without judgment.
