Today's in-school Mountain SOL classes had a blast going on a herpetology scavenger hunt!

We're learning where to find critters, so we searched for cool critter cards around campus! In addition to finding the cards, we found several IRL salamanders!

Dakota is on a quest to be a salamander specialist, and he found FOUR red-backed salamanders! He described this as the best day of his life, which is probably our favorite response to Mountain SOL day!

Attention, parents!

We’re looking for a mini-fridge for our office so our staff have a convenient place to store lunches, snacks, and other food during the school day.

If you have a mini-fridge you no longer need- or know someone who might be willing to donate one- we’d love to hear from you! A gently used fridge is perfectly fine; we simply ask that it be in good working condition and able to maintain a safe, consistent temperature for food storage.

If you’re able to help, please send us a message via email to [email protected]. We’d be very grateful for your support of our staff and school community!

Thank you! 🌿

As peak mushroom season begins to wind down, we're taking a moment to appreciate all of the awesome fungi we encountered both on campus and during our backpacking adventures this summer!
