We received an amazing donation of shelf-stable milk from Mountaintop Beverage of Morgantown, WV. Each weekend bag we distribute contains food for 1 breakfast & 1 lunch. Shelf-stable milk in individual serving cartons is much too expensive for us to purchase. We are so very grateful to Mountaintop Beverage. One of their employees, Matt, even helped us load the milk.

One of the Kitchen's unsung but clearly not unmusical volunteers, Jeff Fedan, has been busking for the Community Kitchen since last fall (2025). He is usually at Annie's Coffee Shop on Friday mornings and occasionally at the Morgantown Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings. He plays traditional Appalachian tunes on the hammered dulcimer. Recently we had a "plumbing issue" in our restrooms. During 2026 Jeff donated enough $$$ to almost cover our cost for the repair. Thank you Jeff !!!! Next time you see him at Annie's or the Farmer's Market stop by and say Thanks and drop something into his basket.

Alicia, our kitchen manager, began collecting suggested menu ideas from our patrons. When a menu suggestion is adopted and served for lunch and the patron suggesting it gives permission we will post it here with a picture. Glitter's suggested menu "The Gravy Glitz" was served Friday: hamburger gravy, mashed potatoes and corn. As always we also provide fresh fruit and soup as well and a high-protein item as a snack. The lunch looks good (tastes even better!) The flowers are from our wonderful Shara.

Community Kitchen Inc. Board of Directors officers Kathy Fedan, President and Aurie Acciavatti, Corresponding Secretary represented the Community Kitchen Inc. at the Empty Bowls Monongalia Full Hearts Night at the WV Black Bears game on July 30. Community Kitchen was recognized as a grant recipient agency. Kathy and Aurie are joined by Empty Bowls Board member Bernie Schultz.

We're celebrating the July 4th in style. Menu today: Hot dogs with Chili, potato salad Cheesecake, fruit, string cheese, chips and dip. Plus a lot of hydration items and we pass out freezer pops too.
