Been running to meetings and catching up with friends before our big CELEBRATION BANQUET this coming Saturday. And, what a celebration it will be! We are beyond excited to share all God has been doing both in and through the organization this past year AND the vision He has given us going forward. (by the way... if you are local and want to come we did have a few cancellations so there are still some seats available- message us to claim the seats) Doors open at 5:00 pm Saturday (10/17) and the dinner & program start promptly at 5:30 pm. You will be glad you came!

Dieuverson is finishing the walls inside the house. He still needs money for the roof, but in the meantime he had some cement to use up! We are so excited for him. PERHAPS by the end of the year he will be in his new home! That would be such a blessing! Thanks to all who have given (and all who will give to help him finish strong) God bless-

In spite of heavy rains, ALL THIRTY farmers/families came for the final food distribution for Hurricane Melissa recovery. These hard working people are ready to keep moving forward after 9 months of food support, livestock & plants/seed distribution, and monthly support meetings. We all learned a lot this past year, but the most important lesson? God never forgot them. HE is the one to thank for the provision of food & supplies to get back on their feet. They know that and can clearly see His hands in this recovery program. To HIM be all glory!

Dieuverson is SO CLOSE to finishing his little house. He needs a little less than $1,000 to put on the roof, windows, and doors. The foundation for the security wall looks so nice.... and it's always great to see the kids playing after school on the land. To be honest, some of these boys do not yet attend school and that breaks our hearts. We would love to do something about that. Perhaps some sort of classes for them during the day? (we are brainstorming ideas) For now, we are glad they come because it gives staff a chance to build relationships and get to know their stories and determine true needs. Remember, we only moved to this village 14 months ago. Everything worthwhile takes time. The last thing we want to do is cause more problems than we help find solutions for. So, for now we listen and learn from those in the village. We pray for direction. And, we gather funds and resources so we are prepared when the time comes to implement some of the programming we decide is needed in this new location God has blessed us with. Thanks for joining us- with your prayers and support. We are in this TOGETHER!

Saturday mornings the English students come for a special day. They start with free play (library books, board games, soccer, jump rope, frisbee, etc), then have music classes and Bible study available. The day ends with a huge meal and fresh squeezed juice that they eat with staff/mentors. It is a highlight of the week for us all. THIS is why we do what we do. It's not just about teaching skills. It's about building relationships and encouraging young adults & families. It's about walking through life with them- just as Jesus did. Just as Paul did. Thank you to all who give so that we can continue to do what God has called us to do here in rural Haiti.

Pennsylvania friends! On October 17, 2026 we will celebrate all God has been doing in & through Hearts United with Haiti this past year. There are still seats available, but we need registrations SOON to hold your spot! The banquet hall needs a count by Oct 10th. Details are on the website (news/events page) along with a link to register OR donate if you so desire. We really look forward to sharing with you all and have put a great deal of time into planning and coordinating. Also.... Josmy David (one of our directors) will be joining us LIVE for a question & answer time. The fresh cooked food (and juice) we serve daily at the Center creates a LOT of dishes. That's why we recently hired a dishwasher. She is a sweet mother of 5 who is enrolled in our literacy class and she was looking for a job. She helped with dishes & cooking during summer camp and proved to be a hard worker. It's just too much for Madame Damus and Nadege to do it all any more. This new kitchen is hot & cramped. They are on their feet for HOURS daily for food prep and then to have to do all the clean up is just getting to be too much work. You can see how huge some of the pots are and how dirty they get. Praise God for a team that works so hard for the students/staff to have the best meals daily (6 days per week) all year long. And, welcome Madame Edna!

So grateful for all the paperwork to be done so today we could SELL THE BIG TRUCK! Overall, it was just too big for what we needed though we did use it to haul cement, some of our items in storage, and to move James' family to a new house. Praise God we found a buyer who will really use it well and appreciates what a blessing it is! Sad to see it go, but we needed the money more than the truck.
