Here at Nerd ER Depot we try to help the community in as many ways as is possible with the resources we have. Our primary service is offering free electronics recycling with both drop off and free pickup services. Our longer term goal with this is to be able to implement weekly pickup routes and provide convenient drop locations in multiple West Virginia areas. When we are not trying to help maint
ain the planet with green services, we are trying to help our futures greatest assets: our children. We work with various organizations that provide childcare, education, growth and development, safety, health, and entertainment for kids. Our goal is to provide these organizations with up-to-date technologies and infrastructure, as well as any other necessity they may need to continue providing essential benefits to the children in the community. We will also be offering classes to teach electronics repair to those interested for free and we will be hosting the Free Bikes 4 Kidz organization as part of the Youth Cycling Coalition here in Morgantown. We also work with other nonprofit organizations in the community to help with civic issues such as hunger and homelessness. We donate as much time volunteering for other causes as is feasibly possible. Every extra hand counts in critical care moments. All donations to our organization will go toward our operating expenses, community outreach programs, up to date equipment for both our organization and others we assist, food and clothing for the less fortunate as needed, and providing kids with whatever crucial items they may need to maintain a happy, healthy childhood. We can accept new or lightly used working electronic items, old media (Records, cassettes, CDs, etc), bicycles (for the upcoming Free Bikes 4 Kidz program), food, clothing and monetary donations to assist in our mission to help the less fortunate and kids in need. All donations are tax deductible in accordance with respective laws.
