Middle school groups are in full swing, and we're loving every minute! 💛

Sierra and Macy have been showing up each week to listen, laugh and learn alongside some amazing students. The kids have been fully engaged. They share their stories, cheer each other on and practice being heard without judgment.

Middle school is a big time of growth, and every young person deserves a safe space to feel seen. We're so grateful to be part of that.

Last week our team took part in Naloxone training with WVSL Solutions! 💛

Naloxone (Narcan) can reverse an opioid overdose and save a life. In West Virginia, knowing how to use it matters. Many of the young people we serve have been touched by substance use, in their own lives or in the lives of people they love.

Our SOAR participants joined staff for the training, and everyone left more prepared and confident to step in when it counts.

Thank you to WVSL Solutions for a great training. Being ready to show up for each other is part of how we care for our community. 🙌

This week our team took part in Naloxone training with WVSL Solutions! 💛

Naloxone (Narcan) can reverse an opioid overdose and save a life. In West Virginia, knowing how to use it matters. Many of the young people we serve have been touched by substance use, in their own lives or in the lives of people they love.

This year's World Mental Health Day theme is "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change." 💛

Just listening can make all the difference. We create safe spaces for girls to feel seen and heard, get connected to resources and support, and build the skills they need to succeed.

Research shows our peer groups decrease anxiety and depression, and increase life satisfaction.

In one participant's words: "You guys made me understand myself better, you made me feel heard. Thank you!"

This World Mental Health Day, listen to someone a little longer than usual, so that one more young person in West Virginia knows they aren't alone.

As Su***de Prevention Month comes to a close, we want to share why this work matters so deeply to us. 💙

Libera began with listening. Our founder started Libera after walking alongside people she loved through a su***de crisis. She saw how much it matters to have someone who knows how to listen and how to help. That belief became our mission: a listening revolution across West Virginia.

Today, we carry that forward by hosting LivingWorks ASIST, a 2-day, hands-on su***de first-aid workshop. You'll learn to recognize when someone may be struggling, talk about su***de openly, and build a plan to keep them safe for now and connect them to help. No experience is needed.

📍 Morgantown: Oct 15–16, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

📍 Charleston: Nov 17–18 times 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

It's free for Libera mentors and professionals who work with youth ages 10–14, and 16 CEUs are available for some professions.

Pasta, puzzles, and a table full of good people. 🍝🧩

Thank you to everyone who came out to Pasta & Puzzles, the latest dinner in our Share & Care community dinner series. Neighbors signed up to bring a dish, and we spent the evening swapping stories, sharing a meal, and working out which piece goes where.

These dinners are a chance to meet the newest members of our SOAR cohort in a relaxed setting. Sometimes a conversation over a plate of pasta turns into a mentorship. That's the point.

All are welcome, always. Bring a dish, bring a friend, or just bring yourself.

Empowering young people to SOAR higher — in life and career 💛 SOAR is a 12-month career and resiliency program for youth ages 18–24 facing barriers to adulthood.

SOAR provides housing, food, and transportation support, therapy, 1:1 mentorship, life skills and financial literacy training, and career exploration — all so participants can choose their own success pathway and build a life they're proud of.

Ever wonder what actually happens in a Libera group? 💛

Picture a room where nobody's rushing you to talk, and nobody's judging what you share. That's the whole point. Each session, participants gather in a safe, structured space to share their stories — the hard parts and the proud parts — and be truly listened to, no fixing, no lectures, just presence.

Groups follow our L.I.B.E.R.A. model, walking through real tools for building confidence, spotting the lies we believe about ourselves, and finding hope for what's next.

It's not about knowledge. It's about transformation.
