Help Us Honor Our Veterans – Flag Placement & Memorial Day Ceremony

This week, VFW Post 548 will begin placing flags on veterans’ graves across Monongalia County in honor of Memorial Day.

We invite members of the community to join us in placing more then 1000 flags at East Oak Grove Cemetery (Dorsey Ave.) on Tuesday, May 21st at 5:00 PM. We will meet in front of the mausoleum before we begin.

In case of severe weather, our rain date is Friday, May 24th at 11:00am. Your time and help mean a lot in remembering those who served.

Join us for our Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 26th at 11:00 AM at Courthouse Square.

Please come out or support the event in spirit as we honor the fallen.
