Morgantown High School - Grand Champions of the 2026 West Virginia Academic Showdown!

Congratulations to Morgantown High School, Grand Champions of the 2026 West Virginia Academic Showdown! 🏆

Competing against 52 teams from 29 counties across West Virginia, MHS captured the state title for the FOURTH consecutive year!

Congratulations to team members Lucille Dahle, Dash Harms, Ethan Liu, Zadie Behnke, and Ava Jones, along with coaches Alex Godfrey and Hunter Stape. Special recognition goes to Lucille Dahle and Ethan Liu for being named to the All-Academic Team for their sportsmanship and scholarly leadership.

We are incredibly proud of these outstanding students and coaches for representing Monongalia County Schools with excellence! 💙💛

Thank you for voting FOR the Mon County Schools Excess Levy renewal and for believing in the students, educators, and families who make our schools so special.

This vote was never just about numbers on a ballot. It was about the child who needs extra support to learn to read. The teacher who stays late to help a struggling student. The safe bus ride to school each morning. The opportunities that help students discover who they are and who they can become.

Because of your support, Mon County Schools can continue providing the programs, people, and resources that students depend on every single day.
