Some of our clubwomen delivered firecracker favors filled with candy to residents of Evergreen Nursing Home. Our club paid for a new filter at their pond so it could be repaired.

GFWC Mountaineer Womans Club meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Eat'n Park Restaurant, 353 Patteson Drive in Morgantown. We meet at 6:15 for dinner if you choose to join us (paid by each person). The meeting starts at 7:00. From November-March, we meet at 1:00. Please join us.

Last night the GFWC Mountaineer Woman’s Club sorted donations and stuffed backpacks for foster children at the Children’s Home Society of WV. This morning our president Shelia delivered them.

GFWC (International) has a wonderful new President, Wendy Carriker, for the next two years. She has many great ideas. Her theme is Unity in Diversity and she has proposed a Unity Membership Challenge in an effort to recruit and maintain our membership. Alex and I are joining this walk to end Alzheimer's. Some clubwomen from GFWC WV North Central District where I am president will be walking and donating also. Please donate. I'm sure that most of us know someone who has had Alzheimer's. Thank you.
