In honor of Federation Day (a day early), we worked on the planter that the Mountaineer Woman’s Club takes care of.

Last night at our Club meeting, we had installation of new officers. Thanks to Fay, our outgoing president, for 14 years of dedication to our club! Fay was opening her gifts. Shelia, our new president, was receiving her President’s pin.

LEGISLATIVE AND PUBLIC POLICY

Primary Election is May 12, 2026

Some Reminders:

1. PRIMARY ELECTION: you must vote in the party that you are registered. This is called a close election. If you want to change your party you must do so by April 21.
2. EARLY VOTING: Begins April 29 and ends May 9, this is when you can go to the court house to vote.
3. ABSENTEE BALLOT: Last date to request an absentee ballot is May 8, 2026. If you are gong on vacation, in the hospital or anything that will not allow you to vote in person you may request an absentee ballot

This is our right and freedom. Let our voice be heard and get out the vote. Encourage others to do the same.

GFWC Mountaineer Woman’s Club clubwoman Shelia delivered Easter bags to some of the residents at Evergreen nursing home.
