Due to power and water issues at the church the scheduled bear den meeting will be cancelled for tonight 3/18.

Another riveting Pinewood Derby in the books! It was great seeing everyone’s cars! We were amazed at your creativity and hope everyone had fun!

The coveted NASCAR Chicken Wing Cup went to our Bear Den as the overall fastest den!

Pinewood Derby News!

Car weigh ins will be offered on Tuesday February 25th from 6-8pm at Community United Methodist Church.

We will also offer weight ins starting one hour before the derby on Sunday March 2nd but we STRONGLY recommend bringing your car in on Tuesday so changes can be made if your car doesn’t meet the rules.

2/15/2024 – Scouting for Food – Weekend 1
• Service project – meet at Harvest Ridge Entrance Mailboxes at 9am – hang up door hangers to drum up donations to be picked up on weekend 2

2/16/2024 – Scout Sunday @ CUMC – Service starts at 10am
• Please attend if you can to show our support to CUMC for all they do for our Pack! Marc will be there at 9:45am to help Scouts get settled.

2/24/2024 – Pack Meeting @ Mylan Park (Peak) Aquatic Center
• Scouts swim for free – non-Scout siblings can attend for $10 unless you have a membership
• Summer Camp presentation prior to swimming

3/2/2024 – Pack Pinewood Derby – 2pm at Clinton District Fire Hall
• Weigh In Instructions and Schedule to be sent out soon!

3/15/2024 – District Pinewood Derby and STEM Day at WVU College of Engineering 11am-2pm

• Cost is $10 dollars before 2/23 and $15 after
o Includes cost for Wooden model rocket

3/31/2024 – Pack Gold and Blue Banquet
• Celebrate Cub Scouting’s birthday, our leaders and our Scouts!

• Theme is Superheroes - so Scouts are welcome to come represent their favorite Superhero!

*Bear Den Update*

The stomach bug and flu is hitting hard - make sure to wash those hands!

Bears Den meeting unfortunately is cancelled. Our next meeting will be 2/18. We will be doing the whittling adventure so parents please attend if at all possible.

We miss you all and can’t wait to hang with our Scouts!

Scout Sunday Service will be at Community United Methodist Church on 2/16/2025 at 10am.

Please consider attending to show our support to CUMC for assisting us throughout the year. Please have your Scout wear your class A uniform or Lion shirt!

Mr. Marc will be there around 9:45 to assist Scouts get settled.

This coming Sunday (2/9/25) is Scout Sunday for most other denominations so if your church participates feel free to wear your uniform!
