Your retirement plan should support your business, not create unnecessary administrative work. The Morgantown Area Partnership’s members-only 401(k) program is designed to give participating businesses access to a lower-cost retirement plan option with professional administrative, recordkeeping and fiduciary support.

According to program estimates, participating businesses may save 30% to 50% on retirement plan costs while reducing the demands of managing a standalone plan.

Partnership members interested in learning more may contact Robert Koerber, CPFA Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch, at [email protected] or 304.848.1003.

Cam Allen and Erik Carlson represented the Morgantown Area Partnership at the 2026 WV Brownfields & Main Street Conference, held September 8–10 in Huntington. They connected with leaders from across West Virginia and attended sessions on Brownfields redevelopment, historic preservation and Downtown revitalization.

The conference was especially timely. Campus Neighborhood Revitalization Corporation was recently awarded a $500,000 EPA Brownfields grant, and Erik used the opportunity to prepare for the grant’s expected funding in October. The Partnership works with local and statewide partners to turn redevelopment opportunities into spaces where businesses and communities can grow.

September was a strong month for the Morgantown business community.

The Partnership celebrated three ribbon cuttings with Mountainview Dental for its fifth anniversary, Dave & Buster’s and Huntington Bank’s new office at the WVU Mountainlair.

We also welcomed five new members: Dave & Buster’s, HyveFlow, Mountaineer Home Medical, Spinnin’ Ain’t Easy and Veritas Contracting.

Throughout the month, members connected through five events, including Women’s Network “Spill the Tea” at The Tea Shoppe, Leadership Monongalia’s first session and our three ribbon cuttings.

Thank you to our members, hosts and community partners for another great month of connection and collaboration.

Collaboration to build a brighter, more resilient future.
