A working HVAC system may not be the most exciting part of our mission, but it plays an important role in creating a safe and comfortable environment for the children, families, and staff we serve every day.

We are grateful to The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina and the Janirve Legacy Fund for their generous $10,000 Sudden and Urgent Needs Grant, which helped cover partial replacement costs for the HVAC system at our main office.

Blown away by the generosity of the Chick-fil-A Raeford Road Leader Academy students! 💙 Their dodgeball tournament fundraiser raised enough funds to provide more than 200 care bags for children and families served at our Harnett County Children's Advocacy Center. ✨

After fundraising with Chick-fil-A Raeford Road, Grace Christian Sanford Chick-fil-A Leader Academy students brought more than 200 care bags to us!

Each bag has activities, journals, and comfort items to help children feel safe, supported and cared for during the toughest of times.

They also toured our center and saw firsthand how their donations will impact children needing hope, comfort and healing.

Thank you for reminding our children that their community is here for them! ✨ 💙

Child Abuse Prevention Month may be over, but our work continues every single day.

Today, we recognize the team that steps in after abuse happens, our incredible Southmountain family. They conduct forensic interviews, connect families to vital resources, provide child medical exams, serve as foster parents, lead our staff, manage finances, oversee risk, guide children on a path toward healing through mental health therapy… and so much more.

This is just a glimpse of the people doing this work day in and day out!

Please keep sharing the message of prevention. If you see something, say something. It’s all of our responsibility to protect children.

To raise awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month, Craven & Pamlico Counties Children’s Advocacy Center challenged local schools to wear blue 💙

The class with the most participation earned an ice cream party on us and wow, so much blue, so much heart. We’re incredibly proud of these kiddos for showing their support and spreading awareness 💙🍦

Mrs. Gardner’s 1st Grade class at Creekside Elementary rocked their blue for Child Abuse Prevention, so we'll be celebrating their support with an ice cream party! 🎉🍦
