On behalf of the Morganton Housing Authority, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Summit Community Church for hosting the recent back-to-school event on Carolina Street.

We are deeply grateful to Clark and Katie Paige, as well as the many church members who dedicate their time to outreach within our communities. Your continued support and care for our residents are truly appreciated and meaningful.

On behalf of the Morganton Housing Authority, I would like to thank all the wonderful campers with Catholic Heart Mission. They all worked so hard and made our residents feel special by taking the time to speak with them and get to know them.

We appreciate you all sharing your hearts with us, and as always, we look forward to next year.

MHA's 2026 Annual Family Day was a great success. Thanks to all the agencies, MDPS, and vendors who came out in support of our community. Nothing we do can be accomplished without ā€œYOUā€!

We couldnā€™t let the evening end without posting one of our favorite challenges. The yellow team was tasked with making a Resident Recruitment video, and we all couldnā€™t help but smile at how great this video turned out. Good job, yellow team. And a big thank you to our wonderful MHA resident who had no idea she would be shooting a video today but said so many wonderful things about our agency and the place she calls home ā¤ļø.

The MHA staff participated in our annual team-building event, engaging in challenges and meaningful interactions with our residents. The activities included creating a video for prospective residents, producing a recruitment commercial, being human letters, and my favorite, distributing flowers to residents who the teams felt needed to be ā€œseenā€ and appreciated. The event felt a sense of unity and it allowed us to grow alongside those we serve.
