And that’s a wrap.

The 2026 Junior High, Junior Varsity, and Varsity Baseball programs were celebrated at a well-attended banquet on June 9th, bringing another memorable season to a close.

It is always bittersweet to send our seniors off into the world, but we are incredibly hopeful and excited to watch all they will accomplish in the years ahead.

The 2026 baseball campaign was filled with success and leaves us optimistic about the future of South Fayette Baseball.

Coach Bubba reflected on the season, saying:

“It is hard to make it to a WPIAL Championship game. It’s even harder to return.”

“The leadership, dedication, and commitment of this senior class played a tremendous role in our success this year. They have left the program better than they found it, and THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT.”

Many of our players have already begun their offseason training, workouts, and summer competition schedules. The pursuit of the 2027 season is already underway with one goal in mind: the color of the trophy will be a little more golden next year.

To our fans, families, and supporters: thank you. Your energy, enthusiasm, and unwavering support helped make this season special.

You were amazing this year, and we’ll need you back in full force when your 2027 Lions take the field.

What a game it was. Some highlights 💚💪⚾️

It wasn’t the outcome we had hoped for, but let me tell you something… the energy from that crowd was ELECTRIC.

South Fayette showed up in full force to support YOUR Lions. From the students, families, alumni, youth players, and community members packed into the stands — you showed WPIAL baseball exactly what South Fayette is all about.

What was built this season is bigger than one game.

We showed everyone that the culture, vision, and future of South Fayette Baseball is built on toughness, brotherhood, resilience, and Maximum Effort. The support, passion, and pride surrounding this program continues to push it forward, and it truly takes ALL of us.

At the start of this season, very few people believed this team would compete at this level. Our players never stopped believing. They fought for each other, embraced the grind, and proved they belong.

And we’re not done yet.

The Lions are headed to the PIAA State Playoffs with something to prove. We’re ready to show the entire state that South Fayette Baseball is a program to be reckoned with.
