Cuba is facing an energy crisis.  With reduced oil shipments and limited domestic production, many communities are experiencing blackouts lasting 20 hours a day—a situation that is expected to worsen.

Nationwide blackout in Cuba due to broken electric grid. Close your eyes and visualize no water, no refrigeration to preserve food, and unless you have an adequate place to cook with coal or wood (if you can find them) no way to fix a meal. Aliento Cuba is raising funds for solar power in Cuba. To donate go to www.alientocuba.org/give

From October 26 to November 2, our Aliento Cuba team embarked on a journey that was both impactful and deeply inspiring. We delivered essential medications and medical supplies to the eight churches we partner with, offering tangible hope to those battling illnesses and infections— medicine that can save lives.

But our mission didn’t stop at physical healing. We also joined forces with nine local churches, the Baptist seminary, and a Baptist camp to host transformative conferences focused on defending the Christian faith. Led by the insightful and passionate apologist Scott Symington, these sessions equipped believers with practical tools to deepen their understanding of why they believe and confidently share their faith when it is questioned.

This mission reflects the very heart of Aliento Cuba's vision: bringing care and hope to both body and soul. None of it would have been possible without the incredible generosity of those who donated supplies and funds, the support of partner agencies that provided discounted or donated medicines, and the countless hands and hearts that made this journey a reality. It truly took a team—an entire village—working together to bring this mission to life. And for every step of the way, we give all the glory to God, who orchestrated it all for His purpose and His people..
