Fellowship in Rotary ❤️

One of the best things about Rotary is the opportunity to connect beyond our weekly meetings—and we’ve been having plenty of fun doing just that!

🏡 Front Porch Friday
One of our wonderful members, Dr. Dave, opened his home for our Front Porch Friday, an evening of good food, drinks, laughter, and conversation. Members and their significant others came together to relax, catch up, and simply enjoy one another’s company. It’s these fun gatherings that strengthen the friendships that make our Rotary family so special.

🍷 Fellowship Wednesday
We also enjoy gathering at a local wine and beer house, Bubbles and Brew, for an after work evening of fellowship while supporting a local business. Good friends, good conversation, and a great local spot made for another wonderful Rotary evening!

Whether we’re serving our community or simply sharing a meal and a few laughs, fellowship is what brings us together and makes Rotary more than a club—it makes us a community. 💙💛

Service Above Self isn’t just something we say—it’s something we do!

Recently our Rotary members rolled up their sleeves for a community park cleanup, partnering with a local organization, Burners Without Borders, to help keep one of our local parks clean and welcoming. 🧤🌳

We also joined another community partner, Leadership Morgan Hill, to hang banners throughout downtown. These banners feature and celebrate Morgan Hill's 120th anniversary, adding a little community pride and helping make our downtown area shine. 🏙️✨

Two projects, two great partnerships, and one shared goal: making our community a better place, together.

Service Above Self isn’t just something we say—it’s something we do!

🌿✨ A Special Visit to our Rotary Club of Morgan Hill ✨🌿

We were honored to welcome our 2026–27 Rotary District 5170 Governor, Geeta Kadambi, to our Rotary Club on July 29th.

Her visit was an inspiring reminder of what makes Rotary so special—the power of people coming together with a shared commitment to Service Above Self. During her visit, she presented our member, Peter Anderson, with a special recognition award. Congratulations to Peter, well deserved!!

She shared a wonderful thought with us:

“Just as spices come together to make a good, tasty dish, Rotarians always come together to serve humanity and to make the world a better place.”

What a perfect reflection of Rotary! Each of us brings something unique to the table, but when we come together, we can create something truly meaningful for our communities and our world. 💙

We had a few days of fellowship fun this past week, last Thursday we went to the San Jose Giants game and then on Friday we had another Front Porch Friday gathering, thank you to our hosts, Leonette and Tony!!

This week, our Rotary Club welcomed Larry Stone, Santa Clara County Assessor, Retired, for an engaging presentation titled “Silicon Valley Economy and Local Real Estate Markets.”

Members gained valuable insights into the trends shaping our regional economy and local real estate market, along with the factors influencing growth, housing, and our community’s future. The presentation gave us a deeper understanding of the changing landscape of Silicon Valley.

⚾️ Leadership can be fun—and impactful!

At this week’s Rotary meeting, we had the opportunity to learn about leadership through the unique lens of the Savannah Bananas led by owner Jesse Cole. Savannah Bananas are an exhibition barnstorming baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia. They play a variation of baseball known as Banana Ball, which emphasizes showmanship, fan participation, and quick-paced games. Jesse's approach to leadership reminds us that great leaders don’t just manage people—they inspire them, build strong teams, embrace creativity, and create experiences that people want to be part of.

Whether on the baseball field or in our communities, leadership is about serving others, encouraging teamwork, and making a positive difference.

New year, new leadership, and an exciting new addition to our club!⚙️✨

Today marks the official start of our new Rotary Year under the leadership of President Ken Meagor. We are hitting the ground running and could not be more thrilled to officially induct and welcome our newest member, Kelly Davis!

Kelly brings a wealth of Rotary experience with her, having been an active and dedicated member of the Rotary Club of Los Altos for several years. Today, we are honored that she has chosen the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill as her new home club.
