South Valley Islamic Center (SVIC) SVIC is a California corporation registered under the IRS Code 501 (C) (3). SVIC gives back to the greater community through charity and community service.

SVIC is a religious, non-profit, educational and nonpolitical organization which establishes a place for daily worship and community center for Muslims of all ages. What is SVIC:
SVIC is community driven institution to serve its Muslim community spiritual and social needs and helps overall community at large. SVIC conducts religious, educational, social, cultural, and other activities as per best

practices of Islam
SVIC promotes friendly relations and understanding between Muslims and Non-Muslims. Our Mission:
To enable the Muslims Community to practice and acquire knowledge of Islam, and enable them to serve humanity at a large in accordance with Islamic beliefs and teachings. What Causes We Support:
1. Feeding of Homeless and those in need in neighborhoods
2. Interfaith activities
3. Cleanups of Neighborhood/Roads, creeks and beaches
4. Drives for clothing, toys, food kitchens
5. Provide resources and financial support to victims of natural disasters
6. Financial support to individuals and families in need. Our Goals and Plans to achieve them:
1. Annual Community Fundraisers
2. Ongoing donations from community
3. Specific Drives to address community needs
4. Network with interfaith and other local humanitarian organizations. Our Beliefs
As Muslims we subscribe to the five basic pillars of our faith, Islam. They are:
• Belief in the oneness of God and in Prophet Mohammad (may peace be upon him) as His last messenger.
• Prayers to God five times a day.
• Fasting during daylight in the month of Ramadan.
• Donation of charity or "Zakat".
• Pilgrimage to Mecca, conditions permitting.
