🦋🦉 Bay checkerspot butterflies and burrowing owls need land to thrive.
The Land Trust of Santa Clara Valley works with local landowners to protect farms, ranchlands, and open space—habitats with sensitive species like the Bay checkerspot butterfly and burrowing owls depend on these lands.
The Land Trust also focuses on preserving agricultural lands and open space, including smaller “postage stamp” properties that larger organizations may not be able to prioritize. By filling in the gaps between larger conserved areas, we help create continuous landscapes for farms, ranches, and wildlife.
We maintain a seal of accreditation from the Land Trust Alliance and have been accredited since 2016, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards in conservation.
Our 2025 fundraising goal is $25,000. We’ve raised $15,000 so far and are working to raise $10,000 more by year-end. No gift is too small.
